an annoying bug in Muninn was causing crashes when starting or stopping the application. This had no impact on the password database (your passwords were saved safely in all versions), but a crashing application is not a proof of good software engineering practices…….
I fixed the bug which was caused by an improper startup and shutdown order of the underlying Botan cryptographic library.
Today I upgraded my server from FreeBSD 10.0 to 10.1 . Without problems and with very little fuss, I rebuilt my entire system + kernel in just an hour. No warnings, no complications, no issues – FreeBSD just works. All my installed ports and user settings are running again, as if nothing changed.
So, here I would like to say it one more time :
FreeBSD community, thank you again for providing such an outstanding operating system !!
Muninn version 1.4 was released today. It now incorporates the option to set up a simplified interface for version control with SVN or Git . This was done to accommodate distribution of password databases in a Version-Controlled environment.
Muninn SVN Status request
The version control interface is restricted to Unix/Linux and Mac OS X, however – Windows users will have to wait until I figure out how to call SVN or Git on a Windows system.
Muninn 1.4 is multilingual (Dutch, German and English) and was released on Apple Mac OS X 10.6 or greater, FreeBSD, Linux and MS Windows 7 or greater .
